The Rhinelander Community Foundation is pleased to announce that its 2026 Annual Grant Application Cycle will be open from February 1 through February 28. Eligible organizations serving the Rhinelander area are encouraged to apply for funding to support impactful projects and programs that benefit the community.
Since 2017, RCF has distributed nearly $1.3 million in community grants to local organizations addressing both current and emerging needs. In 2025 alone, the Foundation awarded more than $296,000 to initiatives focused on improving the quality of life in the Rhinelander area.
This annual grant cycle is funded through the Rhinelander Community Permanent Endowment Fund, along with additional endowed and non-endowed funds, all made possible by the generosity of individual and business donors both locally and beyond. By pooling contributions of all sizes, RCF ensures resources are available to meet today’s needs while investing in the community’s future.
Grant applications will be evaluated based on alignment with RCF’s mission, community impact, project visibility, population served, demonstrated financial need, and the applicant organization’s financial management. Through this process, RCF seeks to support initiatives that advance its vision of a thriving Rhinelander community.
Eligible applicants include charitable organizations classified as 501(c)(3) entities, local units of state or national charitable organizations, schools, hospitals, governmental units, and religious institutions offering programs that serve the public at large. Additional eligibility requirements and funding guidelines are outlined in the grant application materials.
RCF’s mission is to facilitate charitable giving and partner with donors to enhance the quality of life in Rhinelander, today and for future generations. Guided by a vision of a community reaching its full potential through philanthropy, the Foundation remains committed to supporting projects that make a meaningful difference.
