The Rhinelander Area Community Foundation (RCF) is pleased to announce its 2024 Grant Award Recipients. A total of $59,337 was awarded to 25 qualified local organizations who submitted applications to the RCF Board of Directors. The awards were made possible by a combination of grants from the Rhinelander Community Endowment, Community Impact Fund, Non-profit Support Fund, Rhinelander Cultural Arts Fund, Rhinelander Youth Project Fund, Bruce and Jean Ann Wendt Endowment, Pioneer Park Historical Complex Fund, and multiple donor advised funds.

The grants will be awarded at the Rhinelander Chamber of Commerce “Business After 5” event to be held on April 17, 2024, from 5 pm to 7 pm at the Rhinelander Country Club. Media is invited to attend.

“We are pleased to be able to award grants to more organizations this year than ever before,” said Gina Heck, president of the Rhinelander Community Foundation. “We were also recently awarded The Community Foundations National Standards Accreditation, which is the nation’s highest standard for philanthropic excellence. Our donors can feel especially confident that their donations are being managed wisely and with transparency.”

The winning organizations needed to meet the following criteria: They must be a 501c3 non-profit, governmental unit, church, school, or hospital. The application submitted needed to express how that organization would meet community need, serve a broad-based population, show collaboration and impact in the community, and show financial responsibility and attainable planning. Each project must also align with the mission of the RCF to enhance the quality of living in the Rhinelander community now and into the future.
