Patrick O’Melia

Hon. Patrick O’Melia was born and raised in Rhinelander. He graduated from Nativity of our Lord Catholic School and Rhinelander High School. He received his bachelor’s degree from St. Norbert College and his juris doctorate from Marquette University Law School. He was an Oneida County District Attorney and an Oneida County Judge, Branch I. After his judicial retirement, he remained in Rhinelander and continues to do judicial work throughout Wisconsin.

He is a member of the Wisconsin State Bar Association and the Vilas-Forest-Oneida County Bar Association. He was previously affiliated with United Way, Rotary Club, and Nativity of our Lord Parish Council.

He and his wife, Karalyn, raised their three children in Rhinelander. They enjoy visiting their children and family in Anchorage, Arizona, Denver, and Milwaukee.
