Regina Richards

Gina Richards is a summer resident of Rhinelander. She and her family have maintained a cottage in the area since 1980 and her husband’s family has been part of the Rhinelander community for over a century. Rhinelander has been a constant part of her family’s lives.

As a teacher, Gina brings a deep educational background to the board. She worked as a special education teacher for over 22 years in Wausau and Edgar, WI as well as in Austin, TX. She was recognized for her leadership as Marathon County Teacher of the Year and served as the Special Education Chair for Lakeway Middle School in Austin, TX.

Gina’s other roles included Vice President of WI State Council of Exceptional Children, Personnel Development and Inservice Coordinator for CESA 7 in Stevens Point, WI for 16 School Districts and Personnel Development and Inservice Coordinator for Marathon County Special Education coordinating nine school districts.

Gina and her husband, a Rhinelander native, have two daughters and one granddaughter. Her family has enjoyed many weekends throughout the years enjoying all Rhinelander has to offer including cross country skiing, four wheeling, ice fishing, ice skating, fishing and hunting.
