Train Restoration is on Track!
The Rhinelander Community Foundation is pleased to announce the award of a grant for up to $55,000 to the City of Rhinelander for the Pioneer Park Historical Complex train project. This grant will be used to get the steam engine at Pioneer Park on a firm foundation. Last week, cranes lifted the engine and tender off the tracks so that a thick concrete pad can be poured. The train is expected to be placed back on its new foundation yet this fall. Thank you to the groundswell of donors that made this happen – we can accomplish wonderful things together!
