Rhinelander Community Foundation Board Member Brian Wendt recently presented a $5,000 check to the City of Rhinelander for the installation of new docks at Hodag Beach.
According to Community Foundation Board Member Brian Wendt, “This grant meets the Foundation’s mission of enhancing the quality of living in the Rhinelander community. Our board of directors has expressed an interest in funding projects to positively impact our community and we’re happy to see this money go to improving the appearance of Hodag Beach. Hodag Park is a beautiful recreational area and the Community Foundation is pleased to assist in the enhancement.”
The Rhinelander Community Foundation, a 501(c)3 public charity, was formed to develop a mechanism for charitable giving in the Rhinelander area. Over the next few months, the Foundation will continue to introduce the organization and its mission of facilitating charitable giving by awarding grants to charitable organizations and contributing to projects, like the Hodag Beach project, that impact the Rhinelander area in a positive way. Several funds have already been established, allowing donors to connect with causes that are meaningful to them and enabling the Foundation to meet evolving community needs and opportunities.
